Everything you agreed to at the door — and the reasons behind it. Take a scroll while you wait. None of this is meant to slow you down; it’s how we keep the Eagle safe so you can just be you.
1 No Bags Allowed
No bags larger than a manila envelope — 11″ × 9″
Guests with larger bags will be turned away on Fridays, Saturdays and special events.
On a slow weeknight you may be able to rent a locker in the Store (inside the CODE Bar) and put your bag in it. That’s always the Manager on Duty’s call.
Why: fewer bags on the floor means fewer places for a pickpocket to work — and a lighter, hands-free night for you.
2 Phone Ownership Check on Exit
To protect you from pickpockets, we verify phone ownership when you leave. Simply unlock your phone. That is all we need.
Staff may also ask for a quick security screening and bag check on the way out. Agreeing to this check is a condition of entry.
Guests who’d rather not verify will be asked to wait for law enforcement to confirm device ownership before leaving.
Why: developed with guidance from the Wilton Manors Police Department. Over eight months of exit checks, phone theft at the Eagle has been effectively eliminated — and in the rare reported case, the phone turned up or had gone missing elsewhere.
3 Weapons
No firearms — open carry or concealed — and no weapons of any kind, anywhere inside. Zero tolerance, no exceptions.
Management reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest.
4 Cameras & Recording
Phone and camera use is fine for personal, non-commercial use in the Main Bar, Nest, Bear Cave and Eagle Leathers.
Not permitted anywhere on premises: smart glasses (including Meta Ray-Bans and Oakley Meta), body cameras, and any wearable camera or recording device.
In the CODE Bar and any private or restricted area: no recording of any kind — phones must be stored before you enter.
The law: Florida is an all-party consent state. Recording audio of a conversation without everyone’s consent is a third-degree felony (Fla. Stat. 934.03), punishable by up to five years and fines up to $5,000. For commercial or media requests, talk to management first.
5 Footwear & Dress
Shoes on at all times. Spilled drinks, dropped gear and the occasional broken glass make it a safety call.
Absolutely no flip-flops or open-toed shoes in the CODE Bar. No exceptions — it’s a hard safety line down there.
And no nudity anywhere in the Eagle — gear up, don’t strip down. It keeps us right with the law and our license.
Per Florida law, exposure of sexual organs or being nude in public in a vulgar or indecent manner is a misdemeanor (Fla. Stat. 800.03); lascivious acts are covered under 800.02.
6 Food & Delivery
The easy option: Thirsty’s Bistro, right next door. Scan the menu at the bar, order, and a Thirsty’s team member brings it straight to your seat — no need to get up. Ask for any condiments when you order; we don’t keep them on-site.
Ordering elsewhere? Totally fine — but you’ll need to meet your driver outside. Security can’t accept, hold, or sign for deliveries, and can’t track you down inside for a driver.
Eat anywhere inside — at the bar, a Tavern table, or the bench at CODE. If you’re in an unstaffed spot, please bag your trash and drop it in any can on your way past.
One cutoff: no food inside after 9 PM on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
7 ID at the Door
21+ only, and everyone gets carded — it’s never personal. You’ll need a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID.
We accept: a driver’s license or state ID card, a U.S. or foreign passport (or passport card), or a military ID.
We can’t accept: expired IDs, photocopies, or a photo of your ID on your phone. If the name or photo doesn’t match, we can’t let you in.
When we look out for each other, everyone has a better night.
